Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Zach Allen was called to a reported verbal dispute on Waterworks Road. Deputy Allen arrived to find that 39-year-old Matthew Allen had left the scene. Later, London Police Officer Jared Hale conducted a traffic stop in London on a vehicle driven by Allen. Allen was determined to be a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and was found in illegal possession of a legend drug. Allen was arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
