Pulaski County Traffic Stop Leads to Two Drug Arrests

Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones says two men were arrested after drugs were found during a traffic stop. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division say they watched a car run a stop sign at the intersection of West Oak Street and North Main Street. They also noticed a passenger in the back seat not wearing a seatbelt. After pulling the car over, detectives said they were given permission from the driver to search the car. During the search, officers found drugs on or near the passengers, 54-year-old Anthony Meece and 23-year-old Jacob New. A bag with heroin was found near Meece and meth on New. Both were arrested and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
