Pulaski County Superintendent Releases Statement Regarding Controversial Choir Song

The Pulaski County superintendent has released a statement after a song from a school choir caused some controversy on social media. Superintendent Patrick Richardson says the Northern Middle School Choir teacher was overzealous in her attempt to get President-Elect Trump’s attention with the song, ”Trump It!”. He said the Northern Middle School Choir has performed for Both Governors Beshear and was asked to sing at the presidential inauguration for President Trump in 2016. Richardson said the intent of the song was to get invited back to the upcoming presidential inauguration. He said the timing to introduce the song was not in good judgment considering that it was immediately following the election. He added the teacher has been addressed about the inappropriateness of the situation.
