The Kentucky State Police says one person has died after a crash Tuesday evening in Rockcastle County. Troopers say the two-vehicle crash happened on South Wilderness Road. The initial investigation showed 53-year-old James Mcpheron, of Mount Vernon, was heading west in a Toyota Rav4 when he lost control and veered into a tour bus coming from the other direction. The bus was driven by 43-year-old Roger Miller, of Lancaster. After being taken to Rockcastle Regional Hospital by Rockcastle EMS, Mcpheron succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by the Rockcastle County coroner. The investigation is ongoing.
