Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Zach Allen and K-9/Sgt. Gary Mehler made a drug arrest while conducting an investigation off Brock Minton Road. Deputies found 23-year-old George Philpot of London in possession of suspected methamphetamine. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine. Philpot was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
