Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Bobby Roberts was dispatched to a business parking lot off US 25 about 6 miles South of London where a man was reportedly passed out in his vehicle. Police found 51-year-old Dennis Spurlock, of London, there in a pickup and determined he was under the influence. Spurlock was also found in possession of suspected methamphetamine, pills, a glass pipe and other paraphernalia. He was also wanted on two outstanding warrants and had a suspended or revoked license. Spurlock was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
