The London Police Department says Officer Jeremy Gabbard arrested 26-year-old John Driscoll, of London, after he allegedly stole a school bus and wrecked it while under the influence. Officers received a report of a school bus in a ditch near the intersection of Middleground Way and Sublimity School Road. Witnesses told police a young man crawled out of the bus and ran down Middleground Way towards S. Laurel Road. Officers found Driscoll on S. Laurel Road, and said they could smell alcohol on him. Driscoll reportedly admitted to drinking Fireball Whiskey and stealing the school bus from South Laurel High School. Driscoll also had an outstanding warrant from Indiana. He faces several charges, including DUI, theft, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving. Driscoll was lodged in the Laurel County Correction Center.
