Laurel County Suspicious Person Complaint Leads to Drug Arrest

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Justin Lewis and Deputy Allen Turner were called out to Fariston Road on a suspicious person complaint. Deputies arrived to find 45-year-old Ronald Reams of London who reportedly resisted deputies attempts to conduct an investigation. He also reportedly had thrown an object across a parking lot which was later identified as suspected methamphetamine. During the investigation, Reams attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody after a brief scuffle. Reams was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing/evading police and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
