Laurel County Sheriff John Root says deputies are investigating numerous break-ins of vehicles in the county. Victims have reported that guns, electronics, and money were stolen from their vehicles. Deputies said the thieves are targeting unlocked cars. Sheriff Root recommends that all parked vehicles should be locked with no valuables left inside. Anyone with information that could lead to finding the thieves are asked to call the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office at 606-864-6600.
