Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Detective Taylor McDaniel is investigating a death that occurred at a house on Gail Avenue Friday night. Detective McDaniel reports that a step father, 37-year-old Kaney Hiram Hoskins and a stepson were involved in a domestic dispute following a report that the stepfather had assaulted the stepson’s mother. The dispute became physical resulting in a single knife stab wound to the chest of the step father, resulting in his death.
