Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Taylor McDaniel is investigating a reported shooting which occurred off Full Moon Circle , approximately 7 miles west of London on Saturday afternoon January 4th, 2025 at approximately 4:24 PM. Sheriff’s investigators were dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint that a male subject had been shot there. When investigators arrived at the scene, they found a male subject had been shot once in the front torso. This individual was airlifted to UK Med Center in Lexington for treatment of a serious injury.. Investigators learned that allegedly a female there was involved in an altercation with her boyfriend when she allegedly shot him . Arrested was: Ivy Casteel age 21 of London charged with Assault 1st degree and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. Photo of accused courtesy of the Laurel County Detention Center.
