Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Bobby Roberts was dispatched to a complaint of two people allegedly under the influence at a business off West Hal Rogers Parkway. Deputy Roberts arrived to find two juvenile males at the scene, a 16-year old driver of a vehicle and a 17-year-old passenger. Both were determined to be under the influence. Police say as they were being arrested, they created a disturbance by yelling and cursing. The driver was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and terroristic threatening. The passenger was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication – controlled substances. Police contacted the Laurel County court designated worker for their disposition.
