Laurel County Sheriff John Root reports Deputy Austyn Weddle and Deputy Zach Allen were called out to a home off Johnson Road where a man was reportedly out-of-control destroying items and throwing them out the door. Officers arrived to find both doors had been torn off the hinges and several items destroyed. They encountered 33-year-old Anthony Wayne Shepherd of Manchester, who they said appeared to be extremely intoxicated. After a brief scuffle, Shepherd was taken into custody. He was charged with criminal trespassing, criminal mischief, alcohol intoxication and menacing. Shepherd was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
