Laurel County Police Arrest Motorcyclist for 3rd DUI and Drug Possession

Laurel County Sheriff John Root reports K-9/Sgt. Gary Mehler along with Laurel County Constable Robert Smith arrested a Nicholasville man on his third DUI offense. Police say 40-year-old Anthony Joseph Schumaker was riding a motorcycle with no license plate and they spotted him making a turn without using a turn signal. Deputies pulled him over and during a search, found Schumaker in possession of suspected methamphetamine and a glass meth pipe with residue. A records check revealed Shumaker was driving on a DUI suspended license for a second time, and driving a motorcycle under the influence for a third offense. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
