During their weekly update on Kool Gold’s London News Now, the Laurel County Health Department report COVID and flu numbers continue an upward trend. Public Services Supervisor, Tyler Caldwell, said from December 4th to December 8th there were 95 new cases and 6 new hospitalizations. Caldwell says flu cases also continue to rise as we hit the peak of flu season. He also said it’s not too late to get the vaccine. Caldwell said other than the vaccine, it’s important to practice preventive measures like washing your hands, covering your coughs and sneezes and staying home when you’re sick.
