UPDATE: Kentucky State Police have released the identity of a man killed in a crash in Whitley County. The single-vehicle crash happened on I-75 near mile marker 21 when 56-year-old David Nies, of South Dakota, was driving north and lost control. His vehicle hit several trees and flipped. Nies was pronounced dead by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.
