Knox County Burglary Investigation Results In Three Arrests

Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith says a burglary investigation resulted in the arrest of three people. Deputies responded to a reported burglary at a home on KY-3438 in Girdler. They said jewelry, old coin collections and several firearms were taken. Investigators identified 32-year-old Taza Bowling, of Cannon, as being involved in the incident. Bowling was found at a home on the same road with some stolen items. He was charged with first degree burglary. Police said they later found some of the stolen jewelry at a pawn shop. 32-year-old Margret Reynolds, of Cannon, was accused of pawning it. She was charged with receiving stolen property. Two of the stolen firearms were later reportedly found during a drug trafficking arrest in Laurel County. While searching another home, police say they found three people hiding in an outbuilding. An officer found some more of the stolen jewelry. 50-year-old Melissa Bowling, of Barbourville, was charged with receiving stolen property. They were all lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. Police are continuing to investigate.
