God’s Pantry is preparing for Thanksgiving. Alex Maddox, development manager at God’s Pantry Food Bank, says thousands of their special Thanksgiving boxes will move out the door, serving families in 50 counties in Central and Eastern Kentucky. Maddox says each box includes a turkey, eggs, potatoes and stuffing. They plan to pack boxes for around 8,500 Kentucky families. Maddox says inflation is definitely a hurdle this season, so they’re asking for help. Monetary donations are always welcome, but volunteering is also a huge help.
