Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones says deputies arrested an East Bernstadt man following a report of a stolen welder from the Holiday Inn in Somerset. Investigators said the welder was stolen from a parked pickup truck. Deputies watched surveillance video and were able to identify the suspect’s car as a dark-colored Jeep. Officers later received a tip on the stolen welder and responded to a home on Clifty Street. When they got to the home, deputies said they noticed a green Jeep that matched the surveillance video. Police say 24-year-old Eddie Ray Tincher came to the door and claimed ownership of the Jeep. While talking to Tincher at the door, deputies noticed a welder inside the home. Deputies said Tincher admitted to taking it from the Holiday Inn. Tincher was taken into custody and charged with theft. He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
