A Clay County man has been found guilty of murder by a jury in circuit court. Elzie Wagers was charged with the murder of Pangie Smallwood in 2022. Wagers was arrested after police responded to a call about a fight between him and Smallwood at a home. He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 4th.
