Kentucky State Police say a juvenal has died following a crash. Troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision Friday at the intersection of KY 192 and Boggs Road in Laurel County. Troopers say the initial investigation showed that a Chevy Tahoe, driven by 29-year-old Christopher Russell, of London, struck a dump truck driven by 55-year-old Merle Gumm, of Corbin. Both vehicles hit a concrete bridge railing and fell into a small creek below. Russell and a juvenal passenger were trapped inside the vehicle but were extricated and flown out to the University of Kentucky Hospital with severe injuries. The juvenal passenger later died. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Logon Mallory.
