Gov. Andy Beshear announced state officials have received a federal grant for their overdose response efforts. The $37.2 million grant will help the state further address the drug overdose crisis by increasing access to prevention, treatment and recovery services. Jody Jaggers with the Kentucky Pharmacists Association said with this new funding, we’ll be able to provide even more units of naloxone. Officials said programs funded by the Kentucky Overdose Response Effort provided treatment and recovery services to more than 32,600 Kentuckians in 2023.
