London Police Chief Jerry Hollon is reporting that, after an extensive investigation, their Investigation Section was able to identify a multi-state fraud suspect. London Officers, along with La Grange Police found 47-year-old Roberta Padgett of New York and took her into custody. Padgett was wanted out of 9 states and had 7 outstanding warrants in Kentucky. The case is still under investigation, but Padgett’s warrants include charges of:
- London/Laurel County for criminal possession of a forged instrument – first-degree (identify)
- theft by deception – include cold checks $1,000 < $10,000
Padgett was lodged in the Oldham County Detention Center.
