Governor Beshear Proclaims September as ‘Recovery Month’ in Kentucky and the Gitt Recovery Celebration is This Saturday

Gov. Andy Beshear and other state leaders held a Recovery Rally on the capitol grounds Monday morning, marking September as ‘Recovery Month’ in Kentucky. Gov. Beshear ceremonially signed three bills aimed at assisting ongoing recovery efforts, including House Bills 462 and 505 and Senate Bill 71; all three aim to make recovery attainable and accessible to those in need. It is legislation that has been made possible through bipartisan efforts. Meanwhile preparations continue for this year’s Gitt Recovery Celebration at North Laurel Football Field. The event is set for this Saturday, September 21st from 5p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be live music with Eldon Huff, food, games, speakers, vendors and resource tables.
