The search for 32-year-old Joseph Couch, of Woodbine, continues after Saturday’s mass shooting on I-75. The five victims were in stable condition at last report. Kentucky State Police took the lead of the search but the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is still closely involved. In an affidavit filed by a Laurel County sheriff’s deputy, before the shooting, Laurel County Dispatch received a call from a woman who claimed Couch texted her saying he was “going to kill a lot of people.” Another message said, “I’ll kill myself afterwards…” The woman told officials that after receiving the messages, she contacted law enforcement to advise them about Couch. The reward for information leading to Couch’s arrest and location has went up. As of Tuesday afternoon the total reward money being offered for Couch was up to $35,000. Couch is described as being 5′10″ and 154 lbs. He is considered armed and dangerous.
