Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Cyruss McVey was dispatched to a home off Riviera Lane where a man was reportedly trespassing. The suspect, 49-year-old Steven Williams, had reportedly trespassed there before. As Deputy McVey arrived, Williams attempted to head in the other direction, but was apprehended. During his arrest, Williams was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition to the drug charge, he was charged with criminal trespassing. Williams was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
