The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a Manchester man was taken to jail after he reportedly attempted to sexually assault a minor. Deputies responded to the call from the hospital where a woman told them that her daughter had been sexually abused. According to a statement, Johnny Johnson took the minor to a store to get a vape. Once Johnson and the minor left the store, Johnson then took the minor to Cotton Bend Road, where he allegedly attempted to sexually assault her. Johnson was arrested and charged with sexual abuse in the first degree. The investigation is continuing.
