U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Congressman Hal Rogers (KY-05) introduced legislation to designate the United States Courthouse Annex in London as the “Eugene E. Siler, Jr. United States Courthouse Annex”. Judge Siler served on the federal bench for nearly fifty years, nominated by three U.S. Presidents, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and George H.W. Bush, to the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Born in Williamsburg, Judge Siler has dedicated his professional life to serving Eastern Kentucky and has established a reputation as an acclaimed jurist and trusted source for legal advice at home and abroad. In 2016, he was recognized as the Leadership Tri-County Leader of the Year for his contributions to Kentucky.
