The 36th annual East Kentucky Leadership Conference will be held Thursday and Friday, April 25th and 26th and will be hosted in Corbin for the first time. East Kentucky officials and dignitaries gather to discuss issues that impact the community. This year, one of the focuses will be on youth leadership and how to further develop it. Sandy Curd, East Kentucky board member, said they’ll have two panels of high school students presenting. She said the University of the Cumberland’s has recruited a few of their undergraduate students to come and assist as well, to get young emerging leaders into the mainstream.
