The Knox County Sheriff’s Office reports a man has died following a farming accident. Officials said Knox 911 received a call about someone found in a cow pasture. The caller, who was a neighbor of the person found, said he went to check on 81-year-old William Mills, of Gray, when he realized Mills had been pinned. Mills was pulling a trailer with his tractor when he got off the vehicle to open the gate. The tractor was in neutral with the parking brake on, but the heavy load being carried by the trailer caused it to back into Mills, pinning him between the trailer and a gate post. Mills was pronounced dead at the scene by the Knox County coroner.
