Laurel County Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Matt Walker and Deputy Tommy Houston arrested a Manchester man on drug charges following a traffic stop. Deputies pulled over 25-year-old Allen Ray Riley after he was observed speeding and running a stop sign on Fariston Road. During the stop, Riley was determined to be under the influence and was found in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. In addition to the drug charges, Riley was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and driving on a DUI suspended license. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
