Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Zach Allen and K-9/Sgt. Gary Mehler were dispatched to a home off Highway 3094 approximately 4 miles north of London where an argument between a woman and her daughter allegedly turned into a physical assault. During the investigation, 59-year-old Wanda Weaver was arrested and charged with assault. Weaver was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
