Laurel County Police Again Investigating Rash Of Vehicle Break Ins

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says detectives and deputies are again investigating a rash of thefts from vehicles around the county. Investigators say in most cases the vehicles had been left unlocked and purses, wallets, money, cell phones and electronics were stolen. Sheriff Root says deputies will be increasing their patrols throughout the county. He reminds citizens to always lock their vehicles at all times and items of value should be removed. Deputies say the thieves attempted to use stolen credit and debit cards at Walmart in Williamsburg. Walmart is working with the sheriff's office providing pictures.
