Man Arrested In Knox County After Crashing Moped While Under The Influence

A Knox County man spent three days in jail and must pay $718 in fines and court costs after admitting he was intoxicated when he wrecked his moped. 56 year old Roy Bright pleaded guilty to one count of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants at his arraignment in Knox District Court. Deputies say they were called to the scene of the crash on Ky. 830 in Corbin. When they arrived they saw four beers on the moped. In addition to the DUI charge, Bright was served with a warrant out of Knox County charging him with public intoxication in a public place and a warrant out of Laurel County on a charge of taking fish under the legal size limit. Bright was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
